Watkins Pacific registered with the Builders Board of Queensland
In 1983, Mr Gregory Watkins and a group of investors, including former executives of Watkins Consolidated, formed a new construction company in Brisbane and commenced trading as Watpac. The founding leadership of BESIX Watpac were experienced, and well-known identities in the construction, development and property investment industries. The experience of this high-calibre management team has played a significant part in the company’s success. Since its inception, our company has been built on the strength of character, experience and determination of the people who drive us. Today, our company is still defined by our people. Our experienced leadership and construction team live and breathe our values of excellence, co-creation, respect, passion and unity.
#Meet our Founder
Founding chairman Gregory Douglas Watkins hails from a long line of builders, with the Watkins family first establishing a presence in the construction industry in turn of the 20th Century Cairns.
Prior to establishing Watpac, Gregory was previously a Director of Watkins Consolidated Limited, a very successful construction, development and property investment company which became Thiess Watkins (eventually Thiess).
