Watpac lists on the Australian Stock Exchange
As of 31 March 1985, Watpac had approximately $51 million of contract work under construction or management in Queensland. Watkins Pacific also owned and managed interests in Hawaii, USA, including Honolulu Roofing Company, Monarch Building Supply, Yamada Distributors, Tongg Publishing and Transpak.
The company was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, issuing 22.5 million ordinary shares at twenty-five cents (25c) each with a premium of 25 cents per share payable in full on the application to raise $11.25 million. Ariadne Australia became a significant shareholder in the company during the raise, acquiring 6.75 million ordinary shares.
