Strong Foundations
Expanding into Victoria and securing Queensland's largest project to date
On the back of strong profits and growth in the early 2000s, Watpac continued its expansion acquiring Melbourne company JA Dodd and Queensland's JMS Civil and Mining. JA Dodd had a reputation for building, civil infrastructure, and civil landscaping, and the company’s property division had already undertaken several projects in Victoria, including Chapel Street, Prahan, paving the way for Watpac to become a recognised entity in the southern regions and continue its push for expansion.
#In the same year, Keybuilt (the refurbishment division) was renamed Watpac Specialty Services.
