Other projects that reached completion in 2002 included Wacol Youth Detention Centre, Forrest Lake High School, the Deepwater Point Apartments Stage 1 on the Gold Coast and Metropolis Apartments and St Andrew's Hospital in Brisbane.
In the same year, 'Keybuilt', a subsidiary business focusing on refurbishments and complex construction, was established. Keybuilt completed the construction and partial fit-out of the Portal Business Park. This new office building heralded the beginning of the revival of the Newstead and Fortitude Valley areas of Brisbane.
This period also saw changes in key leadership with Kevin Seymour AM resigning as Chairman of the Board to focus on other interests. In 2003 Ian Wood would be elected Chairman of the Board. Kevin Seymour would return as Chairman of the Board following the sudden death of Ian Wood in 2004.
