Queensland prepares for Expo 88
Watpac is awarded the $3.2 million contract for the construction of the Queensland Pavilion for World Expo '88 in Brisbane. The Pavilion overlooked the River Stage and featured a white curved exterior. The exterior features the "Join the Spirit" logo of the Pavilion and had a rotating information board with the state's familiar flora and fauna images - as well as the State Flag.
