Swimming towards the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games
The Gold Coast Aquatic Centre Redevelopment started in 2013 and was completed in 2014. The $41 million redevelopment included a new 10-lane, 50 metre competition pool and 25 metre pool, plus a kids' aquatic play area, cafe, function facilities, gymnasium and retail shop. The Gold Coast Aquatic Centre Redevelopment was the first sporting facility Watpac built in preparation for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
